Thailand Dive & Sail

The philosophy behind Thailand Dive and Sail is to provide divers with the right trip tailored to their needs. Built up of a small team of experts who have dived in the Similans for more than a combined 25 years, our knowledge about this amazing Thai dive destination is almost unrivaled. Thailand Dive and Sail is a lot more than just a dive centre. Our team work on a vast array of liveaboards for many different companies every single day, so we are able to give you individual advice and provide first hand information. We provide service orientated and informative details to prepare you for your diving liveaboard.

As diving instructors, we have certified hundreds of students and still dive every day when the seasons allow. We are also considered the current top source of diving and local information regarding Burma’s Mergui Archipelago. We provide a total solution for visitors wishing to get the most out of their marine adventure within our area of expertise, as well as helpful tips, information and current news, and the opportunity to support local projects.

Only the best liveaboards have been chosen to feature in our recommendations. Knowing that this is an important aspect of your holiday we have tried and tested each of the boats listed and know that the trips that they provide have well structured itineraries, are on safe vessels and offer excellent service. We only want to offer guests the best Similan liveaboards available, and continue to build our reputation on providing trustworthy diving trips and not cutting corners simply to obtain bookings.

Clive, Ric and Khun It, Thailand Dive and Sail’s Managing Directors, have helped organise and have participated in 4 Ray of Hope Expeditions with renowned marine biologists, Dr Andrea Marshall and Dr Fabrice Jaine. Ric and Clive have achieved great things through their work as diving instructors, as too has Khun It with her passion for underwater photography. Ric’s log book data was used and was instrumental in the recent CITES Convention in 2013 in Bangkok where some shark species and Manta rays were awarded Appendix II listings.

The company owners, Ric, Clive and It, hold a fond devotion to the Andaman Sea so in 2009 they founded See & Sea Non-profit Organisation. See and Sea’s goal is to improve the quality of life for local indigenous populations and in turn create a sustainable future for the area’s environment.

What They Say?

  • “The best! Definitely go for it!!”

    Reviewed 25 April 2015
Went on an expedition in Burma/Thailand to observe mantas. First thing noticed is that you know you deal with serious people because they reply your emails, and questions, nothing is hide, they are very reactive. Definitely very very well-organized.
I had an 8 days expedition with my sister, and we were upgrade from a triple to a double 🙂 which was great. The dive masters were absolutely fantastic. They know their job, they respect nature, they give good pieces of advice, they are very friendly and seriously take care of their guests. Visited March 2015  READ MORE

  • “Well organised dive centre in Khao Lak”

    Reviewed 14 April 2015
Did a diving daytrip to the Similans with TDS. Had several e-mail contacts with Sam, who replies immediately. As it is towards the end of the diving season, it took TDS some effort to get me and my daughter booked on a daytrip, but they managed and organised this efficiently. We were taken with a speed boat to join a liveaboard boat (the Canic), which had all the dive gear ready for us. We had some good dives at 2 dive spots. As said, dive equipment was all set up and ready for use. They served us breakfast and an excellent lunch on board, water, coffee and tea available throughout the day. Sam of TDS is efficient and well organised, and Ric is a great and nice guy to join you on the trip. Visited April 2015   READ MORE

  • “TDS and Sam are the Best in Khao Lak”

    Reviewed 21 January 2015
We went to Thailand for our honey moon and got to Khao Lak specifically to dive at the Richelieu Rock. I got in touch with TD&S through a Brazilian friend’s advice. Everything went better than planned. Sam, their manager, is always behind her computer and replies almost instantly every single request. And she can give you quite good advices about Khao Lak, including where to dine, drink and have fun. So, communication is not a problem. Sam arranged my trip to The Richelieu Rock with the Wetcat. Absolutely nice people, with great English, very nice tips. TDS’s equipment were brand-new (I am XXL and had no problem whatsoever even with the BC), including the dive computer, which was very useful on the dive. Food on board was good too, vegetarian and drinks were freezing cold, perfect. Visited December 2014  READ MORE
